In the late 1960s, Bill Scott served as the accountant for a feed store in Chadbourn, NC. As his son, Will Scott, developed an interest in the feed business, Bill became a partner in the company. After graduating from NC State with a degree in Agriculture, Will purchased the remaining ownership stake and established Chadbourn Feed Service.

Today, Will, his mother Diane, and his son Ethan continue to operate the business in Chadbourn. In May 2016, the family expanded by opening a second location in Shallotte, NC. Will’s son Andrew and Belinda Williams managed the new store, named Scott’s Farm and Family. Continuing the growth, a third location opened in Leland, NC in January 2025, with Belinda Williams managing the site.
